New Requirements for UK Travel Starting in 2025

Prepare for new travel regulations in the UK starting 2025! Travelers will need a UK ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation) to enter. Learn about exemptions, application details, and how JET-VIP ensures seamless private jet travel

Starting in 2025, travelers to the United Kingdom will need a UK ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation).

This new requirement applies to most visitors and must be arranged before traveling. Learn how to ensure seamless travel with the UK ETA for 2025.

What is the UK ETA?

The UK ETA is a new entry authorization similar to the ESTA for the USA or the ETA for Canada. It applies to visitors from certain countries and will be required from 2025.

Who Needs a UK ETA?

  1. Exemptions: British or Irish passport holders, diplomats, and those with prior entry permissions do not need a UK ETA.
  2. EU Nationals: Applications open 5 March 2025 for travel starting 2 April 2025.
  3. Non-EU Nationals: Must apply now for travel after 8 January 2025.

How to Prepare

JET-VIP ensures all passenger details are submitted to UK authorities 48 hours in advance. Without a valid UK ETA, boarding may be denied. Apply early to avoid complications, particularly with the UK ETA for 2025 in mind.
